Stories are relics.

Manali Bonde collects stories from the countries she travels through, in the belief that stories are relics. She works in marketing with AI in virtual reality, and has a lifelong fascination with history.

Samyantaka began with the Apsaras, whom history remembers only as dancers. Some of these women were Vidyadharis, knowledge-bearers. This novel brings one back.

Before turning to fiction, Manali published the poetry collection A Fairy’s Story. Samyantaka is her debut in science-historical fiction, and the first book of the Samyantaka Trilogy.

From SAMYANTAKA's pages

“What is the point of possessing the ability to heal, or the knowledge itself, if we cannot aid people in need?”

KOHENAT · SAMYANTAKA

We have forgotten the Vidyadharis. I wanted to bring back the story of the greatest of them all: her knowledge, and her voice.
